On the other hand, Former Defence Minister and MP for Navrongo Central, Mark Woyongo also lost his seat to his greatest rival Joseph Kofi Adda of the NPP. Mr Adda polled 20,667 as against 17,203 claimed by Mr Woyongo.
Legal Practitioner, Lawyer Dindiok Kpemka of the NPP surprisingly clinched the Tempane Constituency seat. He outwitted the incumbent David Adakurugu of the NDC and Dr Francis Asaana, the Independent Candidate to become the MP elect.
At the of filing this report, the collation of the Bawku Central Constituency results was underway at the Bolgatanga House of chiefs due to controversy surrounding the counting of the ballot.
