Nabdams urged to renew mandate of the NDC

Sympathizers of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) have been urged to close their ranks and vote and work towards the party’s victory come December 7. What is expected of the people of the NDC is to have confidence in the party and vote massively for it in the upcoming polls. Speaking to Radio Ghana at Bolgatanga, a former Nabdam Constituency Treasurer for the NPP, Bob Kuridil stated that the party needed team work and genuine strategies to give it a resounding victory it deserved. According to him, the first three years of the NDC has witnessed massive infrastructural development that cut across all sectors of the economy , saying the party needed to win this year’s elections without having to go for a second round and urged all party faithful to rally support for President  Mahama. He said victory for the party was crucial in order to consolidate the achievements of the party. Mr.  Kuridil observed that the NDC was committed to ensuring massive development when given the mandate to rule for another term. For him, his defection from the NPP was informed by the fact that the developmental projects undertaken within the three years of the NDC far outweigh the efforts of the NPP’s first term of office.  According to him, major interventions of the NPP were realized in their second term of governance, an indication that the NDC was committed to the developmental needs of the Ghanaians. Highlighting the achievements of the NDC in the Nabdam Constituency, Mr.  Kuridil outlined various developmental projects undertaken in the last three years of the NDC and mentioned massive improvement in school infrastructure, rehabilitation of roads, provision of basic health care and access to portable drinking water as some of the areas.  Under education, a number of schools have been built whilst others are at various stages of completion. The MP in the last three years has ensured the construction of 6-unit classroom block in Zua, Asongi, Soligo and Kongo-Gougsabig. The Kongo Senior High school under his reign has been upgraded to a boarding status whilst a library has been built for the people of Nabdam to enhance reading and learning among students in the area.  Additionally, a temporal structure has been built for the newly created Nabdam Constituency adding that other developmental projects are in the offing. In the area of water, 14 boreholes since July this year have been drilled whilst 6 mechanized boreholes have been constructed to improve the water situation in the area. Moreover the Zanlerigu-Pelungu road which has not seen any major rehabilitation since 1998 has been rehabilitated with other road networks currently receiving attention. Mr.  Kuridil urged people of Nabdam to renew the mandate of Mr.  Moses Asaga, NDC Parliamentary candidate for Nabdam to continue his good work. For him the chances of Mr Asaga, in this year’s election look bright, urging all to retain his candidature.
